Philips Ladyshave first impressions review

 

Good day, ladies! Today I am coming with a quick first impressions review for my newly bought device that has been in the market for a long time now. I used to have an epilator that had a shaving head, but it quickly broke and I had to go back to manual shaving. Now I gathered my desperation and finally bought this little device that overall cost me 27eur.

 The device is powered with two AA size batteries that were in the package as well. I went ahead beforehand and bought 4 separate batteries as well just to be safe and have some spares.

 

 The ladyshaver comes with two attachable heads as well, a brush to clean it and a pouch where to store it all.

 The first thing that I really liked was that it's incredibly light! My hands are not the largest ones, so you can judge for yourself how big in size this shaving machine is.

 Originally it has a safety head as well so you do not break it.

 Not being any different from my previous epilator, for it's price it works perfectly fine. Since it is powered with batteries, it does not require any wires for it to work so you have to move it a little slower when shaving to get everything, hence in my opinion it does not work as fast as the one I used to have, but the result is the same.

I got this device at the beginning of the week, I am using the original batteries and have fully shaved (legs, arms, armpits, bikini zone) twice and it still works, no worries about batteries suddenly dieing on you in the middle of the process. 

It has dry&wet options, but I have not put it in water yet, so I can't comment on that. The pros of using a mechanical shaver - no possibility of damaging any body part, bikini hair after a while is softer, no pain whilst shaving bikini zone, completely soft skin, no itchiness once hair grows back, easy to use, does not require any creams or soap, portable and you can do it even in the middle of a forest.

It does have a noise when turned on, but it's not the loudest one and compared to an epilator it is quieter. 

If you are thinking about getting yourself a ladyshaver, I do recommend this one! You can still take a look at shavers or hair trimmers targeted at the male audience, I do think that they work exactly the same.

Ciao! Par šo bāzi man ir jautājuši vairāki cilvēki, beidzot es par to arī rakstu. Šis nav vienīgais šīs firmas produkts, kas paviesojies manā blogā (šeit) un šeit ir pierādījums, ka ne viss no lētās kosmētikas ir slikts!

People have asked me about this eyeshadow base enough times so here I finally am writing about it! Here is a proof that not everything that is cheap is bad.

Maza tūbiņa, vairs neatceros cenu, par kādu to iegādājos, taču šo produktu var atrast viņu veikalā! Beauty Expo izstādē šo varēja iegādāties par 4 eiro, tātad cena noteikti ir nedaudz lielāka, taču tik un tā tas ir ļoti lēti.

It is a small tube and I can not remember the price for which I bought it. 

Es šo lietoju gan ikdienā, gan strādājot, gan mācoties. Es neko sliktu nevaru pateikt! Pats produkts ir pasteļtoņa violetā krāsā, taču tas ir pilnībā caurspīdīgs, kad to uzklāj uz ādas. 

I use this every day, when I work and even when I am still studying. There is nothing bad I can say about this one. The product itself is pastel violet color, but it becomes transparent once you put it on skin.

Nezinu, kas tur ir sastāvā, jo nevēlos riskēt ar uzlīmes plēšanu un apakšējās informācijas sabojāšanu, tādēļ labāk atstāju šādu. Neviens nav sūdzējies par šo produktu, man tas arī neizraisa nedz alerģiju, nedz kādu citu reakciju.

I do not know what exactly is in this product, but no one has ever said anything nor has it made me have a skin reaction or anything else.

Produkts uz rokas un uz acs. Tas ir pilnībā neredzams uz ādas. Āda paliek samtaina, maiga, matēta. Ļoti patīkami pieskarties. / Product on my hand and on the eyes. Completely transparent, skin is soft and there is no shine. It is really nice to touch. 

Šeit darbībā. Speciāli izmantoju ēnas, kuru pigmentācija nav tā labākā. Gaiši zils spīdīgs tonis. Sarkanais ovāls ir ēna bez bāzes! / Here is the product in work. I used eyeshadows that have not the best pigment in them, this is a very light, shiny blue color. The red oval marks the eyeshadow without base. 

Šeit melni pelēcīgs tonis, lai redzētu efektu nedaudz labāk. / Blackish grey tone to see the effect better.

Vai tas ir tā vērts? Noteikti, īpaši par šādu cenu. Pateicoties šai acu bāzei, gaidu, kad izlietosies sejas bāze, lai izmēģinātu kādu no šīs firmas, turklāt piedāvājumā ir vairāki varianti. Runājot par Bella produktiem, ir atrodami gan ne tik labi produkti, gan lieliski produkti! Es personīgi esmu starā par pūderiem, ja ir interese, varu atrādīt 2 toņus, kurus lietoju ikdienā un ja nav pieejams birstošais pūderis. Ir testētas acu ēnas, kuru pigmentācija ir atkarīga no kolekcijas, kurai pieder ēnas. Rezumē vēlos teikt, ka, ja ir interese, ir vērts aiziet līdz viņu veikaliņam A. Čaka ielā 61!

Is it worth it? Definitely, especially because of the price. Thanks to this eyeshadow base, I am tempted to try their face base as well once my current one ends!

Beauty Expo 2014 review from an eyes of a working person

 

Hey there! Arī es pabiju Beauty Expo Skonto hallē un varu vienīgi teikt to, ka, ja man būtu jāmaksā, es noteikti uz šo pasākumu atkārtoti nedotos. Tik švaku izstādi es vēl ne reizi nebiju redzējusi un varu vien teikt to, ka tie, kuri uz šo netika, neko nav zaudējuši! Taču, ieteikums nākotnes izstādēm - ja Jums ir iespēja, apmeklējiet tās pirmajā dienā. Cilvēku pūlis nav tik milzīgs un, ja kārojas kādu meikapu, būs garantija, ka to arī saņemsiet un nenāksies stāvēt ļoti garā rindā. :)

Recently I visited a Beauty Expo in Latvia and I have to say that it was one of the worst expos I have ever attended and if I had to pay for it, I would not have gone to see it.

Pasākumu apmeklēju piektdien no 14 līdz 18 un strādāju pie SLA Paris kā vizāžists. Pateicoties tam, ka šī bija pirmā izstādes diena, izstaigāju cauri arī visām nojumītēm un jāsaka, ka šī gada piedāvājums bija ļoti, ļoti švaks. Bija pāris vietas, kuras laikam bija vērts redzēt un kaut ko iegādāties, taču pat cenu atšķirības nebija tik lielas, lai firmas veikala apmeklējuma vietā vajadzētu izvēlēties izstādi, turklāt nerunāsim par pāris nekaunīgām firmām, kuras savas cenas atļāvās uzskrūvēt, nevis piedāvāt savu produktu klāstu par draudzīgāku ciparu. 

Es rezultātā iegādājos 2 pārus skropstiņas, zobu pastu, par kuras eksistenci jau biju piemirsusi un skropstu līmi. Rezultātā biju paviesojusies pie NYX stenda, pie Bellas (kurai cena gan bija zemāka par veikalā atrodamajām un nemaz tik peļama kosmētika šeit nav!) un zobu pastas stenda. Lai nav mistērija - iegādājos Beverly Hills Formula, kura no drogas veikalu plauktiem vēl tālajos senajos gados izzuda (un cena tajā laikā bija 7ls par iepakojumu). Atrādīt bildēs man īsti nav ko, jo mans maisiņš bija vieglāks par tās dienas somu. 

Savām acīm izdevās arī apskatīt jaunās Nanshy otas, kuras atstāja jauku iespaidu, taču pēcāk, aprunājoties ar citiem meistariem un dzirdot klientu-lietotāju atsauksmes, mana noskatītā tonālā ota, lai gan darbojas labi, tomēr ātri apēd produktu un nekaunās vēl sarīties putekļus! Sigmas otas arī bija atrodamas izstādē, taču es laikam apmaldījos līdz tam.. :D

I attended this expo on last Friday from 14 to 18 and I worked under SLA Paris makeup company as makeup artist. Since it was the first day of the beauty expo, I had the luck of calmly walking through all the booths and see what is there for me to see. Some firms made their prices higher than they usually are, only few made it seem more friendly and in the result I would say that it was not the best offer. I bought 2 pairs of eyelashes, toothpaste (Beverly Hills Formula) and an eyelash glue. That kind of sums it all up. There was nothing much to do.

Dāvanas ietvaros plauktos stāv jau kopš oktobra, par laimi nagu laku entuziasts esmu es šajā ģimenē, tādēļ beidzot ķēros vērsim pie ragiem. 

This has been sitting on the shelves since October, but finally I took over it to test it out and see if it really works, since I am the one in my family who loves nail polishes. 

Produkts ir iepakots kastītē, kurai iekšpusē ir arī mazs bukletiņš ar produkta aprakstu un norādēm, kā to lietot, daudzās citās valodās. 

Product comes in a box with brochure inside that has the instructions on how to use this in many different languages as well as a description of what Signature is. 

Signature ir speciāli izstrādāta plāniem, mīkstiem dabīgiem nagiem. Sekojot programmas norādījumiem, šī laka padarīs nagus cietākus un redzama atšķirība būs pamanāma jau pēc pāris dienām. 

Signature is formulated specifically for thin, soft natural nails. Following the suggested program will harden the nails, providing a visible difference in just days. 

Šī laka jālieto aptuveni 7 dienas pēc kārtas, to drīkst klāt arī uz nagu lakas. Reizi dienā jāuzsmerē neliels daudzums lakas uz nagiem un jāļauj nožūt. Pēc tam, kad ir sasniegts vēlamais nagu cietums, produkts jānotīra ar nagu laku un jāpārtrauc tā lietošana vismaz 30 dienas vai jālieto Xtrend laka nagu cietuma saglabāšanai. Ja nagi atkal kļūst plāni un mīksti, var atkārtot šīs lakas procedūru.

Basically you apply a thin coat of this product once a day on clear nails or even on nail polish, wait for it to dry. Once the desired nail hardness has been achieved, you simply remove the product with nail polish remover. It says that it takes approximately 7 days. After that you discontinue the use of this product for 30 days and/or switch to Xtrend polish to maintain nail hardness. 

Iepakojumā ir 30ml. Cenu nemācēšu nosaukt, īpaši meklējusi informāciju par tieši šo produktu arī neesmu, jo pēc 4 dienu regulāras lietošanas, mani nagi vispār neizmainījās. Produkta lietošana uz nagu lakas arī šķiet nedaudz jocīga... Lakoju gan tīrus nagus, gan apkrāsotus, taču rezultātu nekādu, tādēļ vienkārši padevos un vairāk par 5 dienām nelietoju. 

I won't be able to name the price; did not even search for more information on this particular product, because it gave me zero results after 4 day proper use. The fact that it's possible to use it on nail polish enough was a little confusing. Tried it the both ways, but it had no visible changes and no actual nail changes. I gave up after 5 days or trying and put it aside. 

Lai gan nespēju teikt ko īpaši labu par pašu laku, iepakojuma korķītis un kātiņš ir kā maģisks zizlis, kurš rada paradīzi uz nagiem. Tas ir garš, tievs, visa maģija slēpjas birstītē - tā ir īsa, fantastiski piekļaujas naga formai un to nolako bez jebkādām problēmām. Es nesaprotu, kādēļ visas nagu lakas nav ar šāda izmēra birstītēm! Būtu perfekts manikīrs sekunžu laikā. 

Even though there is nothing good I can say about the product itself, it's wand has all the magic hidden and creates a paradise on nails. It's long, thin, but the tip is incredibly wonderful. It fully cover the nail leaving no messes and paints the surface perfectly. I can not understand why all nail polished don't have this. It would create a perfect manicure in seconds. 

Lai nu kā, pudelītē laka izskatās dzeltena, taču realitātē tā ir pilnībā caurspīdīga. Smaržo tāpat kā visas citas nagu lakas! No savas pieredzes īsti neiesaku, taču, ja kāda vēlas pamēģināt - uz priekšu! 

In the bottle it looks yellow, but in reality it's completely clear. The smell is the same all nail polishes have. 

Would I recommend this product? Not really, but I would encourage people to try it out, maybe it was just me who didn't like it!
